B.A. is a very very big city. Entering the room, the big fan is rotating full power, trying to cool down. It is hot. I open the doors to the balcony and have a look on the widest street of the world. 9 lines going right, 9 lines going left. Crossing takes waiting two times. Back in the room I meet my new roommates and we go downstaires to have a drink. The hostel is big, very big. 150 people , a constant flow of people 24 hours a day. How can you not love this place?

Meet Alexis, a french guy who I go to stick with for the next couple of days. We first visit museums: Belles Artes, Latin America Museum, museum of immigrations. Ofcourse a walk through the most "glamerous" graveyard can´t be left out: Recoleta. Recoleta is a big showoff. The more "important" you are, the bigger your grave is. It is more of a house, some of them are big enough to hold a living family, not just the dead. Some of them are 10 meters high, big impressive statues, with angels from marble placed on top. So much money spent on the dead, while many living ones are hungry. Tons of tourists trying to get a glimps of the grave of Eva Peron (Evita). Not by a long shot, as impressive as many graves, but by far the most visited and photographed. New flowers put in front of the iron door. Eva Peron was the wife of the president of Argentina and fought for woman rights. She dead the age of 33, making her a symbol of spiritual leader.

Bodies was another very interessting exhibition. A couple of years ago, a german docter thought it would be a interesting idea to show the real human body opened up. He preserved some real dead bodies, and cut them open to make it possible to see inside the human body. A lot of people are scared to take a look inside, but it was not as scary as you might expect. Some people are sliced open, some bones are shown with different diceases. I can definitely recommand the work, go take a look if it is in town.

B.A. has many neighborhoods, that all vary in style. La Boca (Maradonna´s club), San Telmo (Tango area), Palermo (alernative clothing), Puerto Mondero (Old harbor, now a expensive rich place). Visiting those, gives you a feeling of being in a different city all the time, it doesn´t look the same, it doesn´t feel the same. Left to do are some enormous parks, were you can walk around freely and enjoy the water in a boat.

B.A. is a great city and if you are ever going to Argentina, it is a must see.

Yesterday leaving to Mendoza we arrived this morning at 10 o´clock. Mendoza is the wine area, and it is 1 hour away from the big Andes, which I can clearly see from the city. I could cross the border for a day to Chili, I don´t know yet. For sure I want to have a dinner at a restaurant "1884". It is the 7th best restaurant in the world. Depends heavenly on the price.

"Depends heavenly"... pray it will be reasonable then :P

But B.A. sounds like a nice 'lil town. Good to know your still enjoying yourself. cheers.

Wat betreft Restaurant "1884": eet hier een menu en bestel hierbij een wijnmenu als dat mogelijk is. Al moet je de volgende 2 weken maar iedere dag pap eten en met je bongo's wat geld zien binnen te halen!!!!!
