From macro to micro

I like photography, I like pictures with lots of "lightning" colors, I like complex photos. And that is what I see come together in macro photography. Wikipedia says: "The classical definition is photography in which the image on film or electronic sensor is as large or larger than the subject." For the people who don't understand that.. here are some cool macro photos you should really see (I do warn, girls could dislike these).

For the "bigger is better and smaller is cooler" folks, we have micro photography. Nikon has a micro competition every year, called "Nikon small world contest". The idea is to give you a glimpse into the microscopic world. For macro you can use "standard" cameras, for micro they use some kind of rebuild microscope. What you get is this:
