Bariloche

While staying in Mendoza, I was told Bariloche was given the hostel with the best view over the lake and also the Andes. Bariloche is a small 1000 km south of Mendoza, and the primary destination is Bolivia, Bariloche is simply the wrong direction. But they were looking for people. And I am willing to work for a bed, for a while.

That hostel in Bariloche is the weirdest located hostel you have ever been. At first when I asked people didn´t help me out a lot. Why do they all point to that big flat? Lost, I took the elevator to the highest floot, number 10. A long hallway, dark and with many side doors, there was one door well lit. On it a wooden sign: 1004. Taking all the attention to that specific door, I walked over. Well, also because I knew the hostel name was 1004...

Blessed with a magnificent view over the city, lake and Andes, it is worth staying for a couple of days. Which I did for four. In the city is not much to do, outside you can hike for days, or take a skilift to the top of a high mountain.

Because working there was not an option, and my current goal is north, I took a 40 hour busride to Salta. Changing bus 2 times, but I didn´t want to spend more time in the middle or south part of Argentina. Just go for it, it will be done in 2 days. Which at this point is, I am writing from Salta.

Zijn benieuwd in welk land je de 22. Maart doorbrengt.

Interpol speelt 8 maart in BA. Iedereen maakt mij hier jalours, vele hebben een ticket. Maar ik reis niet naar BA voor een concertje van een of ander bandje...
